There's a very interesting book by the Belgian political theorist, Philippe van Parijs (whom Brian mentioned in his Bluffer's Guide to Revolutionary Economics article). He's apparently one of the leading proponents of this type of economic approach, and he has a unique and refreshingly down-to-earth economic "vision".
